What’s in the Barre Eclipse brand? Everything actually

We are so proud to share our new barre eclipse brand!! Updated and glorious. Just look at her… Wow!

A LITTLE HISTORY OF THE BARRE ECLIPSE BRAND:

Three years ago, we were forced to take my barre classes online. As soon as we did, people from around the entire world showed up, and we knew we were onto something way bigger than ME… 

We knew that our brand needed to be big enough to hold multitudes. It needed to be robust and distinctive enough to stand out in the crowd, but it also needed to be soft enough to evolve and change as we grew.

So, instead of keeping our name simply “Barre with Adrienne,” we created a new community that we called Barre Eclipse. 

THE MEANING BEHIND OUR NAME:

The Eclipse word ties us directly to the moon. It reminds us that, like the moon, we are intricately connected to the whole. It reminds us that our bodies and lives are in a continuous cycle of creating, sustaining, and ending. 

It asks us to honor the ebb and flow of our physical and energetic selves at all times. Eclipse also acknowledges that our power comes not just in the brightness of joy but also in times of rest, reflection, and darkness.

But also… Eclipse signifies a difference. It’s an eye-catching event. An Eclipse obscures a bright object (like the sun) that we’re used to seeing full-frame all the time.

A MORE COLORFUL, INCLUSIVE APPROACH:

Right now, the barre world is rife with body-shaming and perfectionism. There is very little diversity in skin color, accents, languages, and body types, and we, the Barre Eclipse community, are here to change that. We know barre feels empowering and badass and want this feeling for all communities, body types, and countries.

So, like any powerful Eclipse, we’re moving in front of the status quo. We’re creating a new way of seeing the world and our bodies. Together, starting with our barre eclipse brand, we demonstrate a limitless possibility, and everyone is welcome here, as you are, right now, today.

THE SYMBOLISM:

The Eclipse in our logo has a swoosh running through it. That swoosh represents water. Water flows, it feels, it responds. Water is the source of life, communication, and a conduit for self-expression. 

This swoosh of water represents our dedication to feel. We feel into our alignment; we use feeling to guide our decisions; let the feeling take us into the resonance. We feel into the music and let the rhythm heal and strengthen us.

The swoosh creates a double-crescent and connects to the top of the moon, forming the letter ‘E.’ E for Eclipse, yes, but E for everything. E for Earth. E for everyone. The E is a reminder that we are connected and here FOR each other, and our ultimate goal is to serve one another.

We hope you enjoy this new barre eclipse brand as much as we do, friends. (This, along with our brand new website!) is the beginning of a new chapter in our Barre Eclipse history, and we cannot wait to share where we’re going together.
